The Brookwood Military Cemeteries is a pictorial survey of all the military burial grounds maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the American Battle Monuments Commission. Each section is illustrated and some of the memorials in each section are described and illustrated. The guide includes a centrefold plan of the military sections showing their locations. It includes notes on four sections just beyond the boundary of the military cemetery: the Czechoslovakian ‘annexe’, the section devoted to Muslim soldiers, the burial ground of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, and the Turkish Air Force plot. The booklet also describes and illustrates three memorials that were removed by the CWGC in recent years.
